Odette Juliette Annable (nee Justman) is an American film actress. Born on May 10, 1985 in Los Angeles, California. Her father is from Colombia and Nicaragua, and her mother is a native of Cuba.

In 2008, Odette received a nomination for the Teen Choice Award in the category “Best Actress in the horror/Thriller genre” for her role in the film “Unborn”. FHM magazine has identified her on the eighty-eighth line in the list of the sexiest women in the world.

The first picture in which Odette starred was the 1990 film “Kindergarten Cop” (Kindergarten Cop). The five-year-old debutante got an inconspicuous cameo role of the girl Rose, but on the set she watched the work of Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Odette attended the Christian High School in Riverdale, from which she graduated with success. After graduation, the girl worked for a short time in a modeling agency and even won one of the beauty contests. Initially, she planned to link her further studies with the Faculty of Finance at Loyola Marymount University. However, the craving for the world of cinema prevailed, and Odette decided to devote herself to an acting career. Soon she starred in the television series “South Beach” (South Beach) by Jason Ensler and Whitney Rensik (2006) and “The Road to Autumn” (October road) by Gary Fleder, David Paymer and Sandy Smolan (2007-2008).

In 2007, the young actress was approved for the main female role in the film by Matt Reeves “Monstro” (Cloverfield). Strictly speaking, “Monster” can not be called horror films – as such, “horror” is not observed in it. “I come from a Cuban family, and Cubans are very superstitious. They wear black pearls and all sorts of signs against various misfortunes. I never believed in ghosts or anything supernatural until I started acting in this picture. Something was constantly happening on the set. Periodically, the lights went out, people whispered and looked around while we were shooting, and something unusual was constantly present on the set, ” the actress said in an interview.

The real breakthrough in Odette’s career was the main role of Casey Beldon in the 2009 thriller “The Unborn” (The Unborn) directed by David S. Goyer. The film was a significant success at the box office, despite the borrowed cliches from similar horror films. Odette immediately turned into a celebrity: the beauty of the girl and her expressive game won the hearts of many viewers.

On October 10, 2010, Odette married actor Dave Annable and changed her maiden name to her husband’s last name in exchange for his promise to learn Spanish: Odette herself speaks Spanish perfectly.

Subsequently, Annable starred in Andy Fickman’s comedy “You Again” (You again – 2010) as Joan, in Marcos Efron’s thriller “And Soon the Darkness will Come” (And Soon the Darkness – 2010) and in Michael Brandt’s film “The Double Agent” (The Double – 2011). Odette also regularly appears on television. In 2011, she played in the sitcom” The Best Guard ” (Breaking In), after which she joined the cast of the final season of the TV series “Dr. House” (House, M. D.), where she appeared as a prison doctor Jessica Adams. In early 2013, Annable received the main role in the film “Westside” (Westside) directed by McGee, which tells about the confrontation between two Venetian families.

In her free time, the actress likes to read and play with her dog Navi, and also enjoys doing interior design.
